I buy a lot of books, more than I can read. But sometimes I look at selected book's parts, without reading the whole.
I prefer to buy used books for two reasons:
1. Used books are usually cheaper, which is nice to my poor wallet,
2. It's eco-friendly way. Why print so many books, why cut down so many trees, when books can be reused?
... also, sometimes I buy eBooks, and use my smartphone to read these. eBooks are more eco-friendly than printed ones.
Usually however - being an old-school person as am I - prefer the printed books over the digital ones... my fault, nobody's perfect. :(
I think that the Kindle devices can work well when one's smartphone is not good enough. But when smartphone is sufficient, better to not buy extra electronics.
Electronic devices are not so eco-friendly, not so easily recycled. :(
